Dear Friends,
Well, we are about knee deep into this cold and drab winter. I hope that you are keeping warm, staying happy, and spending plenty of time with loved ones. The holidays are past, the decorations are down, and a new decade has begun. While I am not a fan of winter, I am a fan of the new beginnings that January can often bring, and all of the promise that each one holds. This year has indeed brought some new beginnings to me, and in turn, to all of you.
After long months of planning, I am so happy to share with you all of the details about our newly redesigned gift store! Some of you may have noticed a new ad in the paper, subtle for certain, and mysterious too. In fact, many of my loyal customers approached me with great concern that a new gift store was moving into town. I found the comments to be sweet, touching, and heartfelt. It really made me stop and take notice of the really great group of folks that I am proud to have as not just customers, but friends. Anyhow, the “new” gift store was indeed Party Elegance, going through a metamorphosis, a change.
This has been an exciting change, as it harkens back to stores that I shopped in as a child with my mom and my grandmother. We shopped in stores that carried the pretty items that you needed to make your home, your life, that much more comfortable. The clerks always remembered our names, and always seemed to be able to match us up with the perfect little something to take home or to pass along to someone special. That is what Elizabeth Richard Gifts will be for you.
You will still see all of the same faces, and you will still marvel at the gorgeous displays, and the fine attention to detail. But what you will see as new, as different, is an expanded array of fine gifts, kitchenware, tabletop, and so much more. We also have a full service Bridal Gift Registry, available both in store and debuting on line very shortly. I hope that you all will stop by in the coming weeks, and take a look at all of the lovely new items, from such venerable names as Belleek, Lenox, Mauviel, Royal Doulton, Vera Wang, Waterford, Wedgwood and so many others.
But where did Party Elegance go, and who is exactly is Elizabeth Richard? Well, we could no longer be called “Party” Elegance, since the party goods were no more. And after searching for just the right name, it finally hit me, and I am proud to say that we renamed the store as a dedication of sorts to my two fabulous kids, by using both of their middle names. Thanks Gillian and Dermot, for always bringing Mommy inspiration!
In the midst of all of this, we still have even more to tell you about this month, so settle in and read on…
